Why attend?
We are speaking at two roundtable sessions at Perth Mobility Focus on Wednesday, 19 October at the Murray Room, Melbourne.
Don’t miss the opportunity to join the conference for peer-to-peer networking, information sharing and exchange, thought leading panel sessions, product expert led seminar sessions, corporate roundtables and inspirational keynotes.
At our sessions, we will be discussing two topics:
- Teamwork across international borders – Internal application of cultural training, not just transferees
Productivity and cost improvement objectives are constants for most organisations. As a result, the market has been leveraging the benefits of alternative labour resources off shore for many years. As mobility professionals we are aware of the benefits of cultural understanding for employees moving across boundaries, but some companies have realised the benefits of understanding the culture of their internal team members across borders and the market feedback is compelling. Do you have an outsourced team in another country? Would you like to improve how you communicate with each other and achieve the resulting productivity gains? We’ll be discussing a couple of case studies where companies have focused on this to improve how they work together. - How to support employees coming to Australia at the lower end of the salary scale
Front line staff shortages continue to plague the Australian economy and business’s alike. In response to the current market conditions we have partnered with various organisations and established some “Out of the box fixes” to support the successful placement of employees coming in from across the pacific region for more “font line” roles. There is a need for housing, and settling in, but the cost considerations require you to think a bit differently. We’ll discuss a case study that has successfully placed 70+ employees from Samoa in accommodation in Queensland.
